Medical illustration is a unique and gratifying way to combine my proportionate love of art, science, and education. Creating graphics that are both beautiful and instructional to help others understand human health and science makes going to work each day as exciting and challenging as the last.
I decided that this career was the one for me when I was a junior in high school. I completed the Biological and Pre-medical Illustration undergraduate program at Iowa State University in 2013, followed shortly by a graduate degree in Medical Illustration from Augusta University/Medical College of Georgia in 2015. After school, I established Hetherton Illustration and have been accumulating contract work ever since. I currently hold a full-time position working at UWorld, creating medical and scientific illustrations for online question banks that help up-and-coming doctors and nurses study for their boards.
